Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation surgery, is one of the most frequent surgery and we receive the most satisfactory results after the operation. With the appropriate techniques and planning, it is possible to obtain excellent results.

The patients are curious about the questions below:

Who can have breast enlargement?
Completed the physical development, body image can be evaluated with a realistic approach, every woman complaining about shortness of breast can have that operation.

What are the Breast Prosthesis that are used today?
These are the prosthesis that has 2-3 mm outer wall. Within this prosthesis, there is a solid silicone and it is possible to fill serum into that prothesis. The advantage of solid silicone prosthesis eliminates the possibility of the “silicon explosion” which was the most popular subject to the speculative news in the past.

What are the things that distinguish Breast Enlargement surgery ?
Silicone prosthesis selection and the area of the prosthesis, distinguish Breast Enlargement surgery from the other operations.

Which area is suitable for the placement of prothesis?
Lower breast gland, muscle and fascia prosthesis can be suitable. We prefer the placement of the prothesis under the breast glands to the patients who have slightly floopy breasts. However we also prefer that operation to the patients, who do not require breast lift surgery. But today, at the bottom of the breast gland, there is a membrane layer called the fascia, and today the importance of the membrane layer is highly understood. Moreover, we immediately prefer to place prosthesis at the bottom of this layer in patients with breast of flabbiness. Our preference is to place the prosthesis under the muscle for other patients. My personal opinion is that breast enlargement surgery should be planned personally as well as the other cosmetic surgery.

Will I have capsule inside?
The main cause of capsule formation is bleeding and infection. Careful surgical technique, following the rules of sterilization, the physical properties of silicone, reduces the risk of capsule formation ( by the way the possibility of capsule formation decreased in the rough surface of silicon ).

What should be the size of the prosthesis?
The size and shape of prosthesis should be decided by the patient. However it is necessary to trust in the plastic surgeon’s aesthetic look and predictions.

Where should the region of the prothesis be?
Nipple, armpit or breast area sub-curves can be used. I prefer; breast lower curve and armpit area. The purpose is that the surgeon should have a good perimeter and along with that the traces after the operation should be accepted by the patients. I don’t prefer any interference caused by the nipple because I don’t want to cut that significant anatomic structure and moreover there is also a probability of an infection in milk ducts. If I do the surgery in armpit area, I prepare the place of the silicon with the help of endoscopic camera. This technique has many advantages; Initially, this technique reduces the risk of capsul formation and it destroys even the possibility of bleeding. I can say this because my aesthetic look is extremely strong indeed. Secondly, I do not make an incision on the breast skin so I do not leave a visible trace after the operation. In armpit silicon placement surgery, endoscopy is not used; and during silicon implementation in lower muscle, the region of the wall that is adhered to the chest wall, can not be free. That is why we can come across unnatural results. Therefore the technique of endoscopy allows the muscle to be free in every level we want.

What are the complications of the surgery?

The accumulation of bleeding which is the complications of surgery (that is called hematoma) and infection risk today have been reduced with the developing surgical techniques.

What will happen after the surgery?
It is necessary to use a sports bra in 3-week postoperative period. At the end of the first week, it is possible to go to work again. Actual form of breasts will be gained in 2 or 3 weeks.
